Course Format
We offer several different formats for studying our Core Curriculum. Choose between our engaging live sessions and flexible on-demand materials, and personalize your learning journey.
For each level, we have two courses available: A and B.
Level 3A
Reading: “The Tell-Tale Heart,” “The Little Mermaid,” “The Most Dangerous Game”
Level 3B
Reading: “A Study in Scarlet,” “A Scandal in Bohemia,” “The Red Headed League,” “The Man with the Twisted Lip,” “The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle,” and “The Murders in the Rue Morgue”
Course 3A
In this course, we have four primary objectives:
How to Read
Active reading, annotation, and understanding themes, symbols, and motifs
Sentences
Make sentences more "mature" by building them up with clauses and phrases
Paragraphs
Write a story review by reading critically and writing with unity and flow
Short Fiction
Put it all together by writing a piece of short fiction using the C-G-O Framework
LIVE Fall 2023 Semester
SEPTEMBER 8 - DECEMBER 13, 2023 (12 Weeks)
- 2 Hours of class per week
- 1 hour of LIVE lecture
- 1 hour of LIVE 1:1 sessions to review the lecture material!
- 10-12 graded assignments and detailed feedback from an EWC editor
- 12-15 Hours of on-demand videos covering lecture materials for review
